Axmouth Parish Council

Axmouth parish, with a population of some 500, includes the picturesque Axmouth Harbour and the Axe Estuary, an important wetlands site for birds.

Axmouth village has many listed buildings, including St Michael’s church, and it has two pubs and a camp site. There are further small settlements at Dowlands, Stedcombe Vale, and Boshill, the whole parish being within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The coastline includes the Undercliffs National Nature Reserve, part of the ‘Jurassic Coast’, with its geological and wildlife interest.
